Jugendstil Apartment Unterstrass
Project Summary
For this bright private residence in Zürich Unterstrass, we refined the space to create a more cohesive and considered home. Our approach focused on complementing the apartment’s original architecture, defined by elegant proportions, decorative detailing and the crafted character of the early 20th century. The final design established greater consistency through carefully selected materials, finishes and details.
The living room's focal point is a custom marble table, commissioned and produced exclusively for the client. Around it, the surfaces were treated as a blank canvas, brought to life through playing with different textures.
Metallic accents and earthy hues were woven throughout the apartment to connect its natural materials with the client's art collection. The result is an effortless transition between spaces rich enough to avoid a bland, all-white palette while still restrained enough to let the art and materials lead.
