Project Summary
The wall between the kitchen and dining area was removed to open up the space and let natural light through. The weathered dark cherry wood floors were replaced with light oak parquet. The accent colors throughout the project were pulled from the client's personal art collection, ensuring a cohesive flow. Every element, from the refitted cabinetry to the carefully selected furniture, was chosen to balance functionality and aesthetics.
In the living room, the layout was built around the existing bookshelf structure, which was redesigned and refitted. The marble fireplace is now framed by a thicker shelving system, with hidden LED strips behind the shelves providing adjustable ambient lighting. The color palette was then continued into the bedroom with blue silk wallpaper and wall to wall carpet application to continue the hues of the lake throughout the apartment.
The client's family glass coffee table was kept at their request. To highlight its function, a bold, textured carpet was chosen. The organic pattern of the carpet is part of the seamless flow connecting the living, dining, and lounging spaces with the balcony, which together frame the beautiful lake panorama.
